Nick began his career in 1987 with Prudential Investments and is a marketing professional specialising primarily in UK based open-ended investment funds.
During his career, which also includes Invesco Perpetual and Gartmore, Nick has gained vast experience in the delivery of all forms of marketing communications to investors and advisors.
Nick has always preferred a wide remit in all areas of the communications mix coupled with deep product knowledge. Adopting a hands-on approach, Nick has written and delivered promotional and technical marketing material, from the humble factsheet to product launch brochures and advertising.
His previous role was Head of Marketing Communications at Gartmore. At TFM he drafts and produces technical and promotional marketing materials and communications plans for clients. He has also been placed within companies to provide marketing management or to help drive strategic and tactical marketing initiatives, including implementing a key strategic funds change for a major life company.
With a banking educational background, Patrick began his career in 1974 as a Trustee with Midland Bank for around 120 funds from various fund management groups.
Patrick's previous position was Head of Product at Gartmore Investments.
He has a keen eye for product profitability. Patrick is TFM's product engineering specialist, having carried out rationalisations, mergers, acquisitions and launches. He converted all of Gartmore's funds to COLL with full UCITS 3 investment powers and has carried out similar exercises with a number of TFM clients.
Patrick comes with a wealth of experience and contacts, works closely with depositaries, lawyers and the FCA. Patrick has worked on creating and launching one of the first Tax Transparent Fund ranges in the UK for a major client.
Starting in 1985 at RBS, Ian's career has encompassed a number of senior asset management marketing and communications roles.
An all-round senior marketing professional, Ian also brings the closed-ended fund experience to TFM, having specialised in investment trust marketing and communications roles.
Ian has had full responsibility for the development and rollout of marketing initiatives for a range of investment trusts. He has delivered numerous successful campaigns that generated new retail business inflows, is highly respected by senior board members and has acted as product spokesperson for the national press.
Ian has worked on a number of rationalisations including the marketing communications which surround them. From July 2010 to January 2011 he was Acting Communications Director at the Association of Investment Companies (AIC). From April 2013 to June 2014 he was seconded to Allianz Global Investors where he was responsible for the marketing of a range of investment trusts.
Nicola is a highly experienced product technician and is currently working with a number of TFM clients on various product re-engineering projects.
Nicola began her career with The Royal Bank of Scotland in 1991 within the Unit Trust Department. Acting in a trustee capacity, Nicola managed a range of investment funds from various fund management companies.
Nicola continued within a trustee/depository capacity with Citibank, responsible for the overseeing of numerous fund launches, mergers and other forms of product change. Nicola applied these product skills at Gartmore as Product Manager within the European Retail division. She was intimately involved in a hands-on capacity with the planning and implementation of various product changes at Gartmore, including Unit Trust to OEIC conversions, COLL conversions, rationalisations, mergers, acquisitions and launches.
More recently with TFM Nicola has carried out product management roles on several occasions with Barings, Henderson and Legal & General within their offices.
Nicola manages the fully outsourced bureau service for Kii Hub.
